Island AVNS is an authorized Verkada reseller. We design and install Verkada cloud-managed security systems — cameras, access control, alarms, and environmental sensors — all managed from a single platform with no on-site servers.
Cloud-First Security
Verkada is a cloud-first physical security platform that unifies cameras, access control, alarm systems, and environmental sensors into a single software platform called Command. Every Verkada device — camera, door reader, alarm sensor — connects directly to Verkada's cloud infrastructure. There are no NVRs, no DVRs, no on-site servers, and no VPN tunnels to maintain. Everything is managed from a browser or the Verkada mobile app.
Cameras, access control, alarms, and sensors in a single Command dashboard
Cameras store footage locally, synced to cloud; no NVR required
Verkada stands behind their hardware longer than any competitor
No software to install, no IT expertise required to run
People detection, motion filtering, license plate recognition, facial search
Complete Platform
Island AVNS designs and installs the complete Verkada platform — from a single 4K camera to a multi-site security network with hundreds of devices across Long Island.
4K indoor and outdoor cameras with onboard storage, advanced AI analytics, and cloud backup. Pan-tilt-zoom, fisheye, multisensor, and bullet cameras for every application.
Cloud-managed door readers with mobile credentials, visitor management, and real-time audit logs — all in the same Command platform as your cameras.
Wireless intrusion detection — door/window sensors, motion detectors, panic buttons — monitored through Verkada's 24/7 professional monitoring service.
Air quality, temperature, humidity, and water leak sensors. Know when conditions are out of range — from any Verkada-monitored space.
The unified software layer that ties it all together. Live views, recorded footage search, access event logs, alarm history, and sensor data — all in one browser tab.
Manage every location from a single Verkada account. A multi-location business sees all cameras and doors in one interface — filtered by site, building, or floor.
Our Installation Process
Every Verkada system installation follows the same four proven steps, from your first free consultation to the moment your system goes live.
We assess your facility, identify camera coverage requirements, access points, and any existing infrastructure that can be retained or integrated.
As an authorized Verkada reseller, we procure your hardware directly. Verkada cameras, readers, and sensors are not available through distribution — you buy them through a reseller like Island AVNS.
Hardware installed clean, cables concealed, every device enrolled to your Verkada Command account. System tested and confirmed operational before we leave.
Your admin team trained on Command — live views, playback search, access management, and report generation. We make sure you're fully independent.
Why Verkada
Verkada represents the future of physical security — cloud-first, designed for non-IT users, and backed by hardware reliability that sets a new standard in the industry.
The longest in the physical security industry. Our clients aren't replacing cameras in 3–4 years.
Verkada Command is designed to be used by an office manager, not a system administrator.
Cameras, access, alarms, and sensors genuinely integrated, not loosely bolted together.
Hardware
Verkada's product portfolio spans cameras, access control, alarms, and environmental monitoring — all designed to work together through Command.
Common Questions
Questions we hear from Long Island homeowners and business owners considering Verkada.
Verkada cameras store footage on an onboard SSD built into the camera itself — 30, 60, or 120 days of storage depending on the model and plan. Footage is also replicated to Verkada's cloud servers as backup. There is no NVR or DVR on your premises.
Footage continues recording to the camera's onboard SSD during an outage. When connectivity is restored, the camera syncs the missed footage to Verkada's cloud. You never lose footage due to an internet interruption.
Yes. Verkada outdoor cameras are rated IP66 for weather resistance and IK10 for impact resistance. They're designed for continuous outdoor use in climates like Long Island's.
No. Verkada hardware is not available through retailers or online marketplaces. It must be purchased through an authorized Verkada reseller like Island AVNS. This makes sure proper installation, programming, and support.
Yes. Verkada is modular — you can start with cameras and add access control, alarms, or sensors at any time. All devices share the same Command platform and account, so adding a new product type doesn't require a separate system or dashboard.
Verkada scales down to a single camera or door reader — there's no minimum system size. The cloud platform fee is per device, so you pay only for what you have. Many of our small business clients start with 4–6 cameras and expand from there.
