Professional installation of HD and 4K IP camera systems — indoors, outdoors, wired or wireless. Island AVNS designs, installs, and services security camera systems throughout Nassau & Suffolk County.
What We Install
From a single camera over a driveway to a 64-camera commercial system — Island AVNS designs and installs camera systems that fit your property, your budget, and your goals.
Commercial-grade IP cameras with resolutions from 2MP to 4K. Capture license plates, faces, and fine detail at distance — indoors or out. Far beyond what a consumer camera can deliver.
Weatherproof cameras designed for Long Island's climate — from beach moisture to winter frost. Cover driveways, parking lots, loading docks, and every exterior entry point.
View live and recorded footage from any smartphone, tablet, or computer — from anywhere in the world. We set up your app, test your connection, and make sure it works before we leave.
Infrared and color night vision cameras that see clearly in complete darkness. We spec the right technology — IR, starlight sensor, or thermal — for each camera location's lighting conditions.
Local NVR recording with hard drive storage for 30–90 days of continuous footage, cloud backup for off-site redundancy, or hybrid solutions that give you both. We size the storage to your retention needs.
Manage multiple locations — or a multi-building campus — from a single platform. Ideal for retail chains, property managers, and commercial operators who need unified visibility across all their properties.
The Process
We handle every step. You make decisions; we handle the technical heavy lifting.
We walk your property — exterior and interior — to identify blind spots, coverage gaps, and the best camera placements. No charge, no obligation.
We specify camera models, mounting locations, cable runs, NVR placement, and storage capacity based on your property's actual layout and your priorities.
Clean, concealed cable runs. Cameras mounted at optimal angles. NVR installed and configured. No exposed wires, no shortcuts — done right the first time.
App installed on your phone, remote access tested, recording schedules configured. We walk you through everything and make sure you're comfortable before we leave.
Why Choose Us
Security camera installation looks easy. Running cables through finished walls, positioning cameras to eliminate blind spots, and configuring an NVR correctly — that takes experience.
Equipment We Install

Learn moreCommon Questions
Answers to the questions Long Island homeowners and business owners ask us every week.
IP (network) cameras transmit digital video over a network, giving you higher resolution, more flexible placement, and remote access capability. Analog cameras are older technology that require a DVR and produce much lower image quality. All new systems we install are IP-based.
Yes — remote viewing is standard on every system we install. We set up the manufacturer's app on your phone (and any other devices you want), test the connection, and confirm it works over cell data before we leave. No guessing, no calling tech support.
Storage capacity depends on the number of cameras, resolution, frame rate, and whether you're recording continuously or motion-triggered. We size your NVR's hard drive to give you a minimum of 30 days of footage — more if you want it. We show you the math upfront.
Both. Outdoor cameras are rated for weather and UV exposure. Indoor cameras can be dome-style for ceilings, mini bullets for shelves or displays, or covert cameras when discretion matters. We specify the right camera type for each location during your site survey.
In most cases, yes. We assess your existing cameras and NVR, identify what's working and what isn't, and give you honest options — whether that's repairing components, upgrading the NVR, or replacing cameras that have reached end of life. We don't push a full replacement unless it's actually needed.
Your cameras record to a local NVR and do not require internet to function — your footage is always available locally. Internet is only required for remote viewing from outside your property. If your internet goes down, recording continues uninterrupted; you just can't view remotely until service is restored.
